Before Cat found Cat’s human, Cat work at bus station cocktail lounge, name of Cuddles Bar. Cat not receive moneys for work at Cuddles—Cat receive place to sleep, behind bar or in backroom. Cat meet many interesting humans who come to Cuddles Bar. Cat make lot of drinks, Cat make lot of friends.

One night when Cat is bar tendings, human sit down, name of Stephen. Stephen write books. Stephen visit Cuddles every night after finish writings. Sit at bar, talk with Cat, eat peanuts, contemplate life. Cat and Stephen become big friendlies.

One night Stephen come to Cuddles, sit down at bar and tell Cat he have problem. Need turn stories into movie script. Running out of time. Need ideas. Stephen have glassy eyes. Stephen run fingers through hair and tell Cat he not sleep for days.

Cat try lighten mood, feed Stephen peanuts. Spend rest of night telling Stephen travel stories, adventure stories. Stephen eat peanuts and listen to Cat’s lore. When bar close for night, Cat tell Stephen: movie script idea will come if watchword is open.

Cat tell how waiting for idea is like go fishing. Help to be prepared. Then wait, observe, and be open. Make sure enjoy view, relax. Trust process and trust self.

Stephen leave, not come back to Cuddles for long time. Next time Cat see Stephen, he in good mood. Bring big pile of papers, throw on bar. Show Cat finished movie script. Then Stephen buy shots for bar. Give Cat chin scritches and ask if Cat want work on movies in Hollywood. Stephen say he owe it to Cat.

OF COURSE Cat say yes.

Cat has been sleepings in cardboard box behind bar at Cuddles. Cat has been work double shift on weekend. Cat has been live on peanuts and martini olive. Bar patrons no give tips, so Cat has saved only small moneys for ramble on.

Cat quit Cuddles next day, go to Hollywood for work on Stephen’s movie.

In Hollywood, Cat make friends on movie set. Help actor cats prepare for scene, feed crew peanuts, sit with Stephen when he come to set. Cat receive big moneys from work on movie. Cat use moneys to pay off debt from when Cat get stuck in hot sandy place. Then Cat trade moneys for motorcycle and months supply of crunchy treats.

At wrap party, Cat and Stephen sit at bar, eat peanut. Just like old times at Cuddles. Stephen ask if Cat want help Stephen. Have new script writings, about family who live next to pet cemetery. But Cat have other plans. Cat have wheels, crunchies, new adventure waitings. Cat tell Stephen maybe next time and Cat ramble on.
